>Starry Puppy Leash

>Hey Everyone

At a recent excursion to the Salvation Army I found a dress with an astrological pattern on the skirt. Score! I love astrology. For the record, I am a sun Gemini with a Virgo moon and Scorpio rising. Oh, and I am in the cusp of cancer. So this makes me an overly talkative, would do anything for you chick who leans toward perfectionism. It also makes me an anal, moody bitch who never forgets a wrong. And we are interchangeable ‘cuz Gemini is the twin sign. Hehe, I think that this makes life fun šŸ˜‰    Not everyone would agree.
Okay, so back on topic. I wanted to try my hand at making a dog leash. And I have been wanting to use this awesome fabric. I had the leash clasp in my tool box so I had everything I needed. Leashes generally come in 4 foot or 6 foot length. I didn’t measure, I just cut 2 strips from the full skirt. I sewed together these 2 strips to make one very long strip. I then folded it in half the long way, putting the wrong sides together. I folded the edges inward and stitched the outside of the strip down each side.

The astrological pattern.
Cut into two strips.

Stitching down each side.
The finished leash. I added the clasp and a loop at the other end.

Here kitty…..
