> Hey everyone!
I realized today that it is already Thursday and I haven’t done a work from home update lately. I gotta get to that. But first:
My favorite project to date was featured by Stacy at Not Just a Housewife. Yay! I feel so validated.
Now…..I don’t think that I’ve mentioned it before but I love to collect antique silverplate flatware. Especially Oneida Community. I began collecting silverplate back in 2001 when I found a silverplate platter at the Goodwill. I purchased that platter for my sister and I researched it before I gave it to her (that one turned out to be a pattern called 1901). I was hooked and “rescued” silverplate from where ever I could find it, filling out my set with Ebay purchases.

So, long story short, I pulled out all of my flatware today and cleaned and polished it. And I looked at the little-bitty hallmarks on the back and discovered that I have a bunch of sterling.
|Aren’t they gorgeous? Watson Sterling in Martha Washington. 1912. I have even more than what is pictured, the ones in this photo are monogrammed, the others are not.|
These are listed on Etsy. My price is actually 25% less than what these pieces retail for individually (on Replacements.com).
I’d say it was a pretty good day…..now I am off to research these other pieces 😉
