>Show and Share Sunday

>Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are having a great weekend. Welcome to my second Show and Share Sunday linky party. It’s come as you are, bring anything you’ve got. Please grab my button from the sidebar and add it to your post or page. If you would follow me, you would make my day!

I’ll tell ya, I have been on a real bender this weekend. I barely remembered to stop to eat today, I was so busy! I will be featuring all of this stuff this week.
Today I’ll show off this ’90’s-licious lamp that I have actually been using.

Ya, I cannot believe that I have been using this either.

I have this great ribbon that my VFS (very fashionable sister) had wrapped around my daughter’s Christmas gift. It occurred to me that I could cut the ribbon and use it to decorate my lampshade. But, first, the lamp would have to change.

To complete this project I needed:

I needed spray primer, spray paint, spray adhesive, scissors, the ribbon for the design and white fabric, not pictured.
I taped off the fixture and the cord with Frog tape.
I primed then painted it black.
While I waited for the paint to dry, I cut out the designs from the ribbon.
I also recovered the lampshade. This is me making a pattern for the shade.
I used spray adhesive to attach the white cloth to the shade, then to attach the ribbon designs in a pattern to the shade. Didn’t this turn out cute?

Now its your turn. Show me what ya got!!

>Project Photo365

>Hi Everyone!

I didn’t post my photos this weekend! So, here goes.

Hmmm. I had this all set up at the right angle. Oh, well.  These are my books on Amazon. I also have them listed on Craigslist.  Anyone out there like James Patterson?

Sneaky Peek. I had high hopes for having this redone tonight but it is a bigger project than I thought it was. Here is a tip for you: if you are painting hardware, just go out and buy the spray paint. Don’t brush it on from a can that you have on the shelf just because it says it works on metal. This will greatly simplify the project.

If you haven’t already, check out my linky party. Its open all week, submit your best project! I love seeing what you all have.
