>Christmas Decor (Plus Some Ugly Truth)

>Hi Everyone!

I am joining Rhoda’s Vignette Party. I hope you’ll join as well!
I am showing off my hutch. This teak hutch has been living in the garage since June and I am thrilled to have it back in the house. It usually holds framed photos but this time I thought it would be happy holding my Christmas dishes. These are things that I have collected. On the top shelf, there are mugs that I bought from Macy’s about 15 years ago, on clearance. The amber plate I found at the Salvation Army a couple of weeks ago. 50% off! Yay! The other plate on the top shelf is a Santa’s cookies plate that was a gift from my mother several years ago. The bottom shelf is 3 sets of gold rimmed dishes, one set with Christmas motif, the other two are bone colored. I love to mix and match my table with these.

My mom made the stocking when I was little.

Antique side table. This is the furniture that I am not allowed to paint or re-do in any way. On top is my $1 garage sale lamp. The HoHoHo was a $1 score (I think from Target) and the amber candy dish used to be my grandmother’s. The eucalyptus bark was picked up on my lunchtime walk.

The tree. I think I may add garland later.

My Salvation Army angel.

And, the ugly truth. Everyone has such beautiful dining tables! This is my dining table right now. No dining happens here.
